HUDSON FIRE DEPARTMENT
Training

The members of the Hudson Fire Department train regularly for both fire and medical emergencies. For a number of years members have attended the North Country International Fire Training School in Alburg, Vermont.

Weekly drills are held each Monday night at 19:00 hrs at either the fire hall or on some site in Hudson. Once in awhile the members take part in special fire training with a neighbouring Fire Department such as Rigaud, St. Lazare or in Baie D'Urfe.

Many members of the department have taken their "Block" courses at the Quebec Fire Training School in Laval. These courses prepare Quebec firefighters for what they will encounter when attacking the infamous "Red Devil". They are also necessary if a firefighter wants to be hired somewhere in a full time position in the Province of Quebec.

The members are constantly upgrading their skills and professionalism.
